Scanning your local network
Allow Local Network access
LiteNetCheck needs Apple’s Local Network permission to discover and communicate with nearby devices. If a scan returns nothing, open Settings, find LiteNetCheck, and make sure Local Network access is enabled.
Stay on the network you want to scan
Connect your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the same Wi-Fi or Ethernet network as the devices you want to find. Guest Wi-Fi and client-isolation settings can prevent devices from seeing each other.
Free and Pro devices
Scanning finds all responding devices. The Free plan lets you save and monitor up to five devices, including their embedded web interfaces. LiteNetCheck Pro removes the saved-device limit and unlocks the complete set of advanced tools.
If you previously saved more than five devices and are using Free, the app keeps your data but only the five devices included by the Free policy are actively monitored.
Purchases and Restore Purchases
- Open LiteNetCheck and choose Unlock Pro.
- Complete the purchase using the Apple Account shown by the App Store.
- If you already purchased Pro, choose Restore Purchases on the Pro screen.
Purchases are processed by Apple. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store, have an internet connection, and are using the Apple Account that made the original purchase.
Embedded web tools
LiteNetCheck can open a device’s local web interface inside the app. Free users can use embedded web tools for their five included devices. The device must be reachable and the saved address must begin with http:// or https://.
Some older local devices use unencrypted HTTP or certificates that Apple does not trust. Confirm the address in Safari first when a page does not open as expected.
Status notifications
Status alerts are local notifications generated on your device. Enable them in LiteNetCheck and in your device’s notification settings. iOS may pause network activity while LiteNetCheck is not active, so monitoring behavior can differ from the Mac app.
Quick troubleshooting
- Confirm Local Network permission is on.
- Turn off VPN software temporarily if it blocks local addresses.
- Verify that the device responds from Safari or another network utility.
- Run a fresh scan after changing Wi-Fi networks.
- Restart LiteNetCheck after changing system permissions.
